about

The Alam-Pedja Nature reserve is one of the largest winderness areas in Estonia and one of the most difficult to access. Some of the wildest places here can accessed only by water routes or through vast bogs and forests. Within the area of more than 300 square kilometres live only dozen inhabitants, while many animals like wolves, bears adn lynx consider this their home. Many rare birds live in the forests and grasslands of the river floodplains. Forests, floodplains and bogs are three key elements of Alam-Pedja Nature Reserve. This CD represents some typical soundscape of Alam-Pedja.
